Valve reveal Left 4 Dead has sold 2.5 million worldwide

At GDC, Valve has spoken out to tell us Left 4 Dead has sold 2.5 Million at retail.

No time exact timeframe was given as to when this number was taken, but seeing as the game was first released on November 18, this is a nice solid number for around four months of sales.

But let’s not forget this number does not include sales through Steam – which Valve always seems to want to keep quite – so the real number is likely to be much higher- probably much closer to the 3 million mark.

We awarded Left 4 Dead a 10/10 in our review, and also named it our Game of the Year in our Top 20 listing of 2008. That means we like it, a lot!
