Uwe Boll’s Postal will open in just 4 theatres

It is been reported that the US theatrical launch of the Uwe Boll directed Postal has been hit with a rather large setback, and the film will now open on only four screens in four cities next Friday, May 23rd.

Theatrical distributors are boycotting ‘Postal’ because of its political content,” said Boll. “We were prepared to open on 1500 screens all across America on May 23rd. Any multiplex in the U.S. should have space for us, but they’re afraid.

We have even tried to buy a few screens in New York and Los Angeles, and they won’t let us even rent the theatres! I urge independent exhibitors to contact us and book ‘Postal’! Audiences have been expecting the film and I don’t think exhibitors should censor what gets played in U.S. theatres.

If you have not heard about the film yet, then the fact that it makes fun of planes crashing into the Twin Towers, Muslims, Al-Qaeda, atomic bombs, Osama bin Laden, Avian flu and has plush toys that resemble giant scrotums in it should be rather shocking to you.

I think it’s a shame…… from what I’ve seen of the film, I think it’ll be a laugh! I’m quite looking forward to it! ;)
