EA remain at No.2 with sales of FIFA 09 staying almost identical to last week. Bethesda’s Fallout 3 dropped 42% in sales in its second week, falling from No.1 to No.3.
Sony and Media Molecule’s LittleBigPlanet takes the “Biggest Playstation 3 exclusive” title for this week, as it debuts at No.4. Meanwhile, THQ’s WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2009 couldn’t quite defeat Sackboy’s sales, despite launching across six formats. The fake-fighting title sold almost neck-and-neck on PS3 and 360, with 34% and 33% of sales respectively.
The fourth-highest new entry in this weeks chart is Nintendo’s brilliant Professor Layton and the Curious Village, which probably hopes to capture some of the runaway success of the Brain Training title and enters at No.6.
The final new entry that managed to make it into the top 20 is Activision’s rather good Guitar Hero: World Tour at No.15, hitting 360, PS3, Wii and PS2 with both standalone and guitar bundles.
The other two major new titles that just failed to make it into the Top 20 are PS3-exclusive Motorstorm: Pacific Rift, and Tom Clancy’s Endwar which is available on 360, PS3 and erm.. DS.
This weeks biggest loser was Dead Space which went from No.12 last week to falling off the chart this week. The biggest climber was High School Musical 3: Senior Year, which saw improved sales in its second week after release and went from just outside the top 20, to No.17.
