Nintendo’s Wii Fit proves it has staying power, as it holds onto the No.1 spot for a second week running. Sales of Wii Fit have risen 21% since last week, and this is the first time since it launched 9 months ago that it has stayed at the top of the charts for more than a single week.

1. Wii Fit (Nintendo)
2. Call of Duty: World at War (Treyarch)
3. Skate 2 (EA Black Box)
4. FIFA 09 (EA Canada)
5. The Lord of the Rings: Conquest (Pandemic Studios)
6. Mario Kart Wii (Nintendo)
7. Tomb Raider: Underworld (Buzz Monkey)
8. Professor Layton and the Curious Village (Level 5)
9. Guitar Hero: World Tour (Vicarious Visions)
10. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (Sega)
11. Need for Speed: Undercover (EA Black Box)
12. Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training (Nintendo)
13. Lego Batman: The Video game (Traveller’s Tales)
14. Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 (Konami Digital)
15. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Infinity Ward)
16. Fallout 3 (Bethesda)
17. Gears of War 2 (Epic Games)
18. Football Manager 2009 (Sports Interactive)
19. Grand Theft Auto IV (Rockstar North)
20. LittleBigPlanet (Media Molecule)

This week marks the sixth time that Wii Fit has claimed the top of the charts since its release last year, but if it’s going to become Nintendo’s longest-serving No.1 then it will need to better Pokemon Gold’s 7 weeks, and then Pokemon Yellow’s 10 weeks at the top.

Activision’s Call of Duty: World at War has a 3% increase in sales, and manages to fend off competition from another EA new release as Skate 2 debuts at No.3 (just as EA’s Lord of the Rings: Conquest did last week.)

In fact, EA have three games in the top 5, as FIFA 09 is a non-mover at No.4, and LOTR: Conquest hangs onto No.5 with a 31% drop in sales.

Nintendo also have three platform-exclusive games in the Top 10, as Mario Kart Wii and Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games switch places at No.6 and No.10. There is a pleasing re-appearance of Professor Layton, which disappeared from the charts completely for a few weeks, but now resurfaces at No.8.

Tomb Raider: Underworld is back into the Top 20, thanks to the game finally being released on PS2 it manages to jump back up to No.7.

Biggest loser? That would be Quantum of Solace, which was at No.15 last week and out of the Top 20 completely this week.
