UK Sales Chart – Week ending 18th April

Nintendo are looking healthy at the top of the All Formats chart, as Wii Fit stays at No.1. for a third consecutive week, totalling 12 weeks at No.1 in all (8 of which have come in 2009).

After Easter, sales of Wii Fit are down 30%, while The Godfather II remains at No.2, sales falling by 32%. EA have another game in the top 3, with FIFA 09 moving back up two places, despite a 17% drop in sales.

The rest of the Top 10 all shuffle places, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (down 35%) and Resident Evil 5 (down 30%) are both down one place to No.4 and No.5 respectively.

Nintendo’s other two games in the top 10 are both performing well, with only a slight drop in sales. Professor Layton (down 9%) and Mario Kart Wii (down 1%) both move up one place to No.6 and No.7.

Activision still have two games in the top 10, with Call of Duty: World at War dropping two places to No.8, and Guitar Hero: World Tour moving up four places to No.9. Call of Duty 4 is still close to equalling its sequel, despite moving down one place to No.11.

This weeks biggest loser is Wanted: Weapons of Fate, dropping thirteen places to No.31. The biggest winner was Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection moving up eight places to No.21.
