Only one week to go until the lovely festive-themed Christmas Chart, and the top four games are very much happy with where they are thank you very much. So, there’s no movement at all in the top four games, and Call of Duty: World at War is still the hot favourite for being baby Jesus’ favourite game this year.

1. Call of Duty: World at War (Treyarch)
2. Mario Kart Wii (Nintendo)
3. FIFA 09 (EA Canada)
4. Need for Speed: Undercover (EA Black Box)
5. Fallout 3 (
Bethesda)
6. Wii Fit (Nintendo)

7. Guitar Hero: World Tour (Vicarious Visions)
8. Tomb Raider: Underworld (Crystal Dynamics)
9. Quantum of Solace (Treyarch)
10. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (Sega)
11. LittleBigPlanet (Media Molecule)
12. Gears of War 2 (Epic Games)
13. WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2009 (Yuke’s)
14. Sonic Unleashed (Sonic Team)
15. Far Cry 2 (Ubisoft Montreal)
16. Prince of Persia17. Animal Crossing: Let’s Go To The City (Nintendo)
18. Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party (Ubisoft France)
19. Resistance 2 (Insomniac)
20. Football Manager 2009 (Sports Interactive)

Whilst their chart positions stayed constant, Call of Duty: World at War rose in sales by 2%, Mario Kart Wii rose by 1%, FIFA 09 went down 1% and Need for Speed: Undercover rose 3%.

The gap between Call of Duty at No1 and Mario Kart Wii at No2 is 27,000 units, leaving Nintendo with it all to do in the coming week in order to claim what would be the Japanese giant’s first Christmas No1 since N64 ‘Zelda Ocarina of Time’ 10 years ago.

If Activision Blizzard can hold on to the No1 spot for another week they will claim the longest uninterrupted All Formats chart topping run-in for a Christmas No1, with 6 consecutive weeks.

Fallout 3 has climbed one place with a 6% increase in sales, thanks to some bargain Christmas deals. Despite a 5% decrease in Balance Boards shifted, Wii Fit has also managed to hop one place up. The other game to slide surreptitiously up one position is Guitar Hero: World Tour with a pleasing 18% increase in sales. Perhaps the recent X Factor finals have provoked the nation’s musical tendencies.

As is usual for this week of the year there are no new entries in the top 20, but several recently released titles have seen impressive jumps in sales. Sonic Unleashed sped up the charts with an increase of a whopping 87%, Quantum of Solace stormed up 10 places with a 53% increase, and Prince of Persia made its first appearance in the top 20 this week, appearing at No. 16.

Sackboy used his creative skills to manufacture a well-earned 58% improvement in sales, making LittleBigPlanet the bestselling Playstation 3 game this week!

Notable disappearances from the Top 20 since last week include Grand Theft Auto IV, Fable II and thankfully, Wii Music.
