UK Sales Chart – Week ending July 26th

Nintendo are once-again absolutely dominating the UK sales chart, as the Balance Board crushes Lego Indy into his component blocks. The rest of the top 10 is Nintendo-centric too, with all-format titles selling best on Nintendo platforms, as well as the five Ninty-exclusives all having a good run of sales this week.
1. Wii Fit (Nintendo)
2. Wall·E (Helixe)
3. Mario Kart Wii (Nintendo)
4. Guitar Hero: On Tour (Vicarious Visions)
5. Lego Indiana Jones: Original Adventures (Traveller’s Tales)
6. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (Sega)
7. Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Sora Ltd.)
8. Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (Neversoft)
9. Kung Fu Panda (Vicarious Visions)
10. Battlefield: Bad Company (Digital Illusions)
11. Beijing 2008 (Eurocom Entertainment)
12. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (Konami Digital)
13. Top Spin 3 (Pam Development)
14. Grand Theft Auto IV (Rockstar North)
15. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Infinity Ward)
16. Cooking Mama 2 (Cooking Mama Limited)
17. Race Driver: GRID (Codemasters)
18. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Darkness (Chunsoft)
19. Guitar Hero: Aerosmith (Neversoft)
20. Mario Kart DS (Nintendo)
Wall·E was the second best-selling game in the UK for the second week running. We pity all the poor children who have been subjected to that terrible movie tie-in. Did their parents not read our review?
Lego Indiana Jones has actually been pushed out of the top 3 for the first time since its release. Guitar Hero: On Tour’s second week of release saw it climb even higher in the charts, jumping from ninth to fourth.
Are the days of console exclusives well-and-truly numbered? Metal Gear Solid 4 is the only non-Nintendo exclusive game in the whole of the top 20..

Great to see Mario Kart DS still hanging in there after all these years

Wall-E is suprisingly high though this is probably down to retailers such as Tesco promoting and selling it for £15.00
