UK Sales Chart – Week ending July 12th

This week Nintendo have knocked themselves from the top-spot, with replenished supplies of Wii Fit helping the balance-board to victory for the second time since it’s release three months ago.

2. Lego Indiana Jones: Original Adventures (Traveller’s Tales)
3. Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Sora Ltd.)

6. Beijing 2008 (Eurocom Entertainment)
7. Kung Fu Panda (Vicarious Visions)
8. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (Sega)

14. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (Konami Digital)
15. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Infinity Ward)
16. The Bourne Conspiracy (High Moon Studios)
17. Cooking Guide: Can’t Decide What To Eat? (Nintendo)
18. Guitar Hero: Aerosmith (Neversoft)
19. Race Driver: GRID (Codemasters)
20. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Darkness

Yet again there are only two new faces in the Top 20 this week. Movie tie-ins – Kung Fu Panda and Wall-E win this week’s award for ‘most improved’. Following Kung-Fu Panda’s lead, the DS version of Wall-E is selling the best. Check back in a few days for our verdict on the game version of Pixar’s loveable robot.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Darkness joins Wall-E as the second new game in the Top 20 this week. Its counterpart title Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Time just fell short of the Top 20, only reaching 21st this week.

Despite Wimbledon being over and done with, Top Spin 3 managed to increase its sales by just enough to overtake Bad Company into fourth place. In contrast to the usual trends, the PS3 version of this multi-platform game sold the best this week.

The biggest loser award this week goes to Bourne Conspiracy which fell from 8th to 16th. Maybe people have realised that flashy presentation doesn’t make up for shallow gameplay?
