The third instalment of another franchise enters into the charts at No.2, as THQ’s Red Faction Guerrilla experiences good first week sales, and deservedly so according to our review.

Last week’s bestselling title, and also a THQ-published game, UFC 2009: Undisputed drops down to No.3 to make way for the new titles. The next two places are taken up by fitness titles, as EA Sports Active outsells Wii Fit for a third week in a row.

PS3-exclusive inFamous moves down one place in its second week to No.6, and Nintendo’s Pokemon Platinum drops five places from No.2. Guitar Hero Metallica drops four places to No.8.

The highest original entry in this weeks chart is open-world racer Fuel at No.12, and the next highest new entry is Sacred 2 which was released on 360 and PS3 at No. 15.
Square Enix’s 360-exclusive Star Ocean: The Last Hope enters in at No.17, followed by DS puzzle-adventure Mystery Stories at No.18.

Rounding off the new entries is Nintendo’s Walk With Me at No.38. It may not have entered into the charts as high as Nintendo had hoped, but this may have something to do with the relatively high price caused by the inclusion of two wireless pedometers.

Only two games (not including re-entries) actually moved up places this week. Wii Fit moved up one place to No.5, and Night at the Museum 2 went up three places to No.25.

The biggest loser was Bionic Commando, which plummeted a whopping twenty places from No.15 to No.35.
