Last week’s bestselling game, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 dropped 20% in sales, falling to No.3, which allowed another film tie-in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen to move up to No.2 despite a 4% dip in sales.
It’s been a rather successful past couple of months for mega-publisher EA, with four separate EA titles reaching No.1 in the charts for a total of 6 out of the past 7 weeks. The also now have a total of five games in the Top 10.
Wii Fit has continued its consistent good form, moving back up two places to No.4. In fact, Nintendo’s Balance Board game has remained in the All Formats Top 10 for the whole of 2009 so far.
Is Fight Night Round 4 on the ropes? The boxing sim fell three places to No.5 with a 30% drop in sales. Sales of Call of Juarez fell by a similar margin of 27%, but the game only goes down one place to No.6.
There are no new entries this week at all, but the highest new entry by far is Rhythm Paradise, which reappears in the Top 40 at No.19, having increased sales by 96% following a new spate of TV adverts starring Beyonce.
The biggest loser that is still in the charts is Red Faction: Guerrilla, which fell six places to No.20. But three notable titles disappeared from the Top 40 completely this week; Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings was gone after five weeks , Monster Hunter: Freedom Unite after three weeks and The Conduit dropped out after just a week in the charts…
