Ubisoft set to buy Gameloft studio

Ubisoft has revealed they have agreed to acquire Gameloft’s development studio in India. The company is a prominent developer of video games for mobile devices, and also releases more than few titles for Nintendo DS, iPod and the PlayStation Portable as well.

At the moment the studio has 120 game developers and testers. Ubisoft said the aim of the purchase is to expand this to 200 developers in the next 12 months, and 500 within a few years. Interestingly, Ubisoft has decided not to reveal the value of this transaction, so all you fans of facts and figures can now go sulk in a corner
