Ubisoft has recently got up on their high horse, and have started hyping EndWar. It will apparently do for the RTS genre what GoldenEye did for first person shooter games. At least that’s what Ubisoft’s content director, Julian Geright thinks of the unique voice controlled RTS.
“This is the first game of its type and I don’t think that games on console will be made the same after EndWar,” he told CVG. “It’s kind of boastful, but I really do think that this is a watershed type of game.”
“The difference in PC games and console games is huge, even in first person shooters. Think of before GoldenEye – people didn’t play first person shooters on console. It wasn’t that fun,” he commented.

Is this the same Ubisoft that said similar things about Haze?

The only problem is every RTS I’ve tried on the Console was completely let down by the controls! I love RTS games, but loathe to play them on console…. I’m afraid that keyboard and mouse are much better control methods. That’s why I was so dissapointed with C&C3 on X360… great game but at times impossible to play! I’ll reserve judgement Ubi, but I won’t be buying it till I’ve rented it first….
