Sony have revealed that a demo of Killzone 2 wll be made available in Europe ahead of the full game’s release, which will hit stores later this month. The better news is that the demo will be available this week, going up on the PlayStation Store as part of the weekly update on Thursday 5th February.
The demo will consist of the first two parts of the Corinth River, which is the opening level of the game. This is also the level you saw in pretty much all recently released screenshots, videos and was the basis for numerous preview articles over the course of the past few months – so you should be familiar with it.
If you end up liking the game after the the demo taster, which is highly likely, then you can get even more excited when it hits stores on 27th February.

The UK is part of Europe, Michael. Rest assured that you can play Guerilla’s blockbuster FPS on Thursday 5th Feb.

Hopefully this will live up to the hype and be better than every shooter game on the 360. Showing everyone up, if thats the case i’ll sell my 360 because most of the games are also on the ps3 (but better on the ps3 like bioshock) they also have Singstar, which i love.

Everything I’ve seen and heard about this game so far suggests that it will be an extremely well-polished title, but I’d expect nothing less from an FPS that’s been in development for at least four years.
The first game had a forgettable singleplayer, but I quite enjoyed the multiplayer despite it being unbalanced and glitchy. That may have something to do with the fact that it was the first online console FPS I ever played.
I have high hopes for KZ2, this year may finally be the year that I can justify purchasing a PS3.

Could be noon, could be 5pm. Sony are all over the place with their Thursday updates
…a good rule of thumb is that if you really want something, then Sony will make you wait as long as possible!

Oh yes! Played it thru a couple of times… it’s a bit short, but it certainly gets the juices flowing! I can’t wait till my copy arrives!
