Tomb Raider films set to get a reboot

Like their names suggests, HollywoodReporter are reporting the Tomb Raider series of films are getting a reboot, with new a cast, crew, director, writers, and production company involved. Warner Bros will be taking over from Paramount this time round, who helmed the first two films, grossing $432 films combined.

The new producer will be Dan Li, who was recently the development executive for the critically acclaimed The Departed. Stephen Gilchrist will co-produce and Ian Livingstone of Eidos will exec produce.

It is believed the new film will completely revamp the character, with the film having a new feel and look, and according to HollywoodReporter bear little resemblance to the original pictures with no villain or storylines returning.

Recently, there have being many rumourings that Megan Fox will be the big name to take over from Angelina Jolie. If you are not familar with Megan Fox, you may remember her from stuff like Transformers, How to Lose Friends & Alienate People, and late night Google Image searches when no one else is around.
