THQ to announce new WWE game tomorrow

THQ has confirmed that they will be announcing the “next addition to the WWE videogame family” tomorrow (Friday March 28th). They don’t reveal what exactly the game will be, but it is likely to be the latest update to the WWE SmackDown vs. Raw franchise. If so, this will be the tenth iteration of the franchise which has been going on for quite some time, and although the game is a top seller for THQ many believe it is in serious need of a rethink. As you can guess I am personally one of these people.

THQ comment that the announcement will be made during the latest Superstar Challenge, which sees 16 WWE Superstars compete against each other in a single-elimination tournament to decide the new king or queen of WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008. I suppose they wish the game they were playing was better too.
