The Mandate breaks past halfway in its $500,000 Kickstarter campaign

Perihelion has announced that The Mandate has raised over $250,000 of its initial funding target of $500,000. To keep the momentum going, the independent studio has included a series of stretch goals that will add further content to a title that seems to be quite feature-packed already. The biggest stretch goal, Mod Support, sits at $800,000, which I’m sure a lot of space fans would love to happen, allowing them to add their own flavour to the game.

Drawing inspiration from the likes of X-Com, Fallout, Mount & Blade, Sid Meier’s Pirates! and Star Trek OnlineThe Mandate was in the top 3 games on Steam Greenlight before being successfully Greenlit on 29 October 2013, and has already raised over $250,000 in its Kickstarter campaign, due to end on 1st December 2013. The Perihelion team is comprised of industry veterans, who have previously worked on projects including Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed II,Mafia IIFar Cry 2Age of Conan: Hyborian AdventuresCall of Duty 3and The Secret World.
