TFLO Preview (Xbox)

Written by Pelican

Since it’s unveiling at May 2003′s E3, Level-5′s ‘True Fantasy Live Online’ has rapidly gained a huge following, is one of 2004′s most anticipated Xbox games and will definitely take advertising duties for Live during the next twelve months.
- The game uses cel-shading to create a style reminiscent of american manga

- Battles take place in real-time, with a smooth and simple interface

-There are 70 magic spells in the game, unique to different professions in a way similar to ‘Final Fantasy XI’s system

-Players can customise their characters’ clothing, shape, hair style and skin tone to create their own identity within TFLO’s online community (alongside 2999 other gamers at the same time!)

-Within this community, players can go adventuring with groups of up to 10 other players, join guilds which will give you quests to complete, or wander around doing your own thing

-Another intriguing addition to the gameplay is that you can sell items from your inventory by setting up shop anywhere and this feature will also be COMPLETELY real-time

-There are five different races in the game, namely Elves, Dwarves, Hobbits and Humans with one still unconfirmed

-You are given a house which gives you space to place all your rare items, and unlike FFXI it is expected that other players will be able to visit you

- Is it too early to be writing next year’s christmas list?
