Tales of Vesperia coming to PS3 too
Update: Namco has since updated the list, commenting that the listing of the PS3 version was a “mistake.” We don’t know if we believe them though. Maybe they are just not ready to announce the PS3 version yet, or maybe it was really a mess up on thier part.
Namco Bandai have revealed their list of planned games that should come out in Japan in 2008 unless they hit huge problems. The listing is in Japanese, but we can assure you the one we highlighted says Tales of Vesperia, and as you can see it now says PS3 as well as 360 beside the name.
The game, which is the newest and tenth main entry into the ‘Tales of’ series was announced for 360 late last year at Jump Festa, but now it seems PS3 is doing well enough to get a bit of the Tales action too.
Release dates for both versions are still unknown.

That’s great news! PS 3 is lacking rpg’s, while Xbox 360 and Wii have a good amount of rpg’s. Once Final Fantasy XIII comes out it will be a different story, since that will be more popular than any other rpg out there, including stuff like The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and Fallout 3 I think.

yeah that was actually written, but Namco Bandai stated it was a mistake. they made a new list and removed the PS3 version. sorry PS3 owners; TOV is still an Xbox exclusive

The way I see it, there’s a 50/50 chance of it coming to the PS3. I mean, plenty of Namco-Bandai games have been coming to the PS3 as of late. Eternal Sonata, anyone?

@WHATAJOKE well since the PS3 will get its own Tales of game, think it would be better than getting Vesperia because with a exclusive PS3 tales game, namco bandai could use a engine that will bring out the power of the PS3 and people wont have to complain about multiplatform unfairness if the PS3 version had better visuals or more extras and better a new story for the PS3 tales of.

lol. i hope TAV comes to PS3. It was stated that it was exclusive to XB360 (which blows chunks, xbox that that is :p):O I mean, i’m curious to know how much cash they rake in from just rpgs alone for the ps and ps2 as opposed to other games genres.
but anyway, i’m glad to hear that they are planning a different Tales game for ps3 ^^

well i hope ps3 gets a new tales game. i’ve played vesperia and i hated it worse than any other tales game( the only character i liked was raven, i can tolerate judy and rita but thats it). so here’s hoping that that a new tales game is in the works.

It doesn’t really matter if Eternal Sonata did come out for the PS3 with exclusives. That game sucked horribly.
Anyway, yeah I didn’t believe that Vesperia was coming out for the PS3 and seriously, I’m glad it’s not.

It’s only a matter of time till someone releases a poo in a bag as a casual game and someone will buy it because they won’t read the box because thats not what people do these days. 2019 seems about right.
