Swine Flu prevents E3 appearance for Dead Rising 2

Capcom have revealed that Dead Rising 2 will not be making an appearance at this year’s E3 due to a Swine Flu outbreak in Osaka, Japan limiting travel. Why can someone else not demo the game you ask? Well, the dev team are not comfortable with others showing the game in its current form apparently.

“Our Capcom guys are not coming to E3 because of the Japanese government restrictions,” said Chris Kramer, Senior Director of Communications and Community at Capcom. “The company is taking the advisory very seriously.”

No other Capcom showings are expected to be affected because of the outbreak.

“Dead Rising 2 is the only game we won’t be able to showcase at E3, because it’s at an early stage of development and the team is not comfortable having anyone else demo the code,” Kramer said.
