Super Meat Boy is Getting a New Soundtrack on PS4 and Vita
If you take a look at Octobers upcoming PS Plus games you might notice that Super Meat Boy is one of them. The game is making its PlayStation debut via Plus on the 6th but all is not as it once was. The soundtrack has been changed from the other versions of the game because the original composer wouldn’t give permission for their music to be used on the PlayStation versions.
What do you do if you can’t secure the rights to your own soundtrack? Well you gather up a collection of kick-ass musicians and have them compose a new one for you. Who are these new musicians? Matthais Bossi and Jon Evans, collectively known as Ridiculon, who are known for their work on The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth soundtrack. You might also look to David “Scattle” Scatliffe who composed some tracks for Hotline Miami. Rounding off Super Meat Boy’s new soundtrack is Laura Shigihara who has previously worked on Plants vs. Zombies.
