In a small, somewhat random chat with Eurogamer, Capcom has confirmed there is absolutely no chance of Street Fighter IV making a late arrival this year on PC and console, but the could very well arrive very early next year, with a “winter ’09″ date still being the official word coming from the company.
If you have not being following the game for some weird reason, then you probably wont know that the boast stylish looking 3D rendered characters and backgrounds, but will still boast the traditional 2D gameplay the series is know for. However, you know now thanks to us.
If the date turns out too be true, then Capcom should have a very busy start to 2009, with Resident Evil 5 also hitting during the early period of the year – March 13th if you want to get specific.
Which means early next year according to a spokesperson, although there’s nothing more specific just yet.
If you can’t wait that long, then head to the Eurogamer Expo in London next week, where they’ll be offering hands-on time with Street Fighter IV on Xbox 360 and arcade machines of the same. Capcom will be bringing playable copies of Resident Evil 5 along, too.
