EA have confimred to the Euroestgamerest site on the internet that Boom Blox, the Steven Spielberg-helmed puzzler for Wii will be getting released in Europe on May 9th.
In the game players roll a bowling ball to knock blocks over. The player can also use the Wii Remote to blow, push, and shoot the blocks to cause them to collapse. Some blocks will feature special magical properties that include blowing up when struck. There will be over 20 kinds of blocks with such special properties. Also, the option to “remix” any level in the game and share the design online will be available too.
“My inspiration for this game came while I was playing the Wii for the first time,” comments the bearded director. “Boom Blox plays on the enjoyment of building and knocking down blocks, something that can appeal innately to kids and adults of all ages.”
To tell the truth, the game is probably not all that interesting, but apparently Steven Spielberg is involved so… Wooooooo, Yayyyyy!

Mate, it’s going to have head tracking and the most refined Wiimote controls EA have shipped to date – how can it not be awesome?

AI was a terrible movie… I don’t trust Steven Spielberg anymore!

AI was a GREAT movie, up until the part when the film carried on after it had faded to black with the kid talking to the statue under water. As far as I was concerned that was an AWESOME ending.
Then he went and pissed on it.
