Sony announce official Grand Theft Auto IV bundle
Sony has sent out a press release today confirming the existence of an official Grand Theft Auto IV bundle for the PS3. Sony comment that “the bundle will be available on April 29, 2008, will consist of a PS3 40GB model, a Sixaxis wireless controller and a copy of Grand Theft Auto IV, all for just €439/£319 (RRP).”
“We are delighted to offer the millions of PS3 and GTA fans the ultimate gaming package,” said David Reeves, President, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.

Should have been priced at £299.99.
When this was first announced I seriously thought Microsoft even with their exclusive advertising had missed a trick by not having a similar official bundle.
But now, I can’t help but think Sony might just have put things back on a level playing field by not pricing this more competitively. Blu-ray just doesn’t matter to some people and £100 is a lot of money to put down on a the same game on a different platform.
