Silent Hill: Homecoming slips to November

Konami may have previously announced that Silent Hill: Homecoming would be coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC in late September, but it seems new plans are afoot, as at Leipzig it has been announced that game will now be shipping in November. It is unknown what excatly has caused this delay, but it seems the game needs that extra bit of polishing that only extra dev time can bring.

Silent Hill V will be the first console based game in the series not to be developed by Team Silent, but instead by The Collective. Their most notable game has been Marc Ecko’s Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure.

The game tells the story of Alex Shepherd, and starts with him situated in Military Veteran’s hospital, recovering from a near fatal wound he received. While there he has a premonition that his young brother, Joshua, is in danger, and his mother has gone into catatonia, and thus the game kicks off. It has also been revealed that Alex’s military background will play a part in both the game dynamics and the theme of the story.

The game will also feature an all-new soundtrack by acclaimed series composer Akira Yamaoka.
