Shadowrun now free on 360 with a silver Live account
News has hit the Internet (starting over on the Xbox.com fourms) that Shadowrun has become a very unique Xbox Live game, as it can now be played online on the Xbox 360 even if you only have access to a Silver Xbox Live account. The reason for this is not yet fully known, but many are hinting the reason behind it is due to Windows Live for PC being recently made a free service, and due to the fact the game allows cross-platform play it is now free to play online on both platforms.
If this is true, then Sega’s Universe at War: Earth Assault should also be free-to-play on Xbox Live, as it also offer cross-platform play, however we don’t have a copy of the game to try that out.

I thought support for this was being dropped? Even though I really enjoyed it, I’d heard it’d been a flop?

It was a flop, and the developer shut it door for goods, but you can still play it for free!

I might have to pick that up again then… it was great fun online! Teleporting through walls, flying, big guns… what more could you ask?!

A single player mode

I’ve also read that this works with Lost Planet: Extreme Condition: Colonies Edition. Although if you have enough money to spare to buy that game, you might as well buy Xbox Live Gold.

Single Player mode? What? Like UT3? Or Quake Wars ET? Ok, so I forgot the Single Player.. but apart from that, what more could you ask?!
