Publisher Deep Silver and developers Ascaron offically announced yesterday the first expansion for their action-RPG, Sacred 2: Fallen Angel. Named, ‘Ice & Blood’, this add-on introduces the Dragon mage, an additional main character, as well as ‘interesting quests and stories’ that whisk the player away to new adventures in Ancaria. Moreover, the expansion contains two new, unique locations and previously unknown enemies, ‘who will challenge action RPG gamers with unique tactics of their own’. Add to that new in-game items for each main character of Sacred 2, and you’ll have many additional hours of lootfest fun.
‘Ice & Blood’ has currently only been confirmed for the PC version of Sacred 2, but according to our review of the console ports, that is probably for the best anyway. The expansion is expected to be available before the end of 2009 both for download and at retail, and for some reason will not be distributed in North America, Mexico or Russia..
Whether you’re in one of those ‘forbidden zones’ or not, everyone can enjoy these lovely screenshots while we wait for the aformentioned expansion to actually be released.
