Amy Holding Each Other Because The Game Is Terrible

Rubbish horror game Amy patched to make it less rubbish. Could still be rubbish?

Remember Amy? No, that’s fine – you likely have better things to do with your life.

However, what you need to know to make the rest of this news item make sense is that when Amy came out, critics did not like it – not at all. They collectively hated it in fact, and Lord Metacritic of Averageland deemed that the game was only worth 25 out of 100 on its grand scale that rules the lives of those in the industry.

That’s a really low number. Odds are no bonuses were given out for the game, and someone likely got slapped with a fish – on their bare bottom.

However things are now getting fixed with a patch. Which is a bit too late to be honest, as the game is now 3 months old – which is the equivalent of a half a century in the land of video games.

The patch was released as “a result of fan feedback.” We are not sure who those fans are to be honest

The game’s developer (VectorCell), announced that these things here, below this line here that I am writing right now, are the things that got fixed in the patch. Behold:

  • The last checkpoint you reach is now saved (instead of going back to the beginning of the chapter)
  • The syringes remain in the inventory after a checkpoint is reached
  • Amy’s Powers remain available after a checkpoint is reached
  • The Combat camera has been removed
  • Most sequences can now be skipped
  • The in-game brightness has been improved

The developer adds, “[a]ccording to the tests we carried, Chapter Five is now much easier with these changes.

Take that Chapter 5!

If you think this news item is a bit strange and unwieldy, then don’t play Amy, cause it is worse than the words I have written here.

PS: Hydrophobia is also rubbish
