Rockstar Thank Manhunt 2 Supporters

Rockstar Games has spoken out to the community that continues to support the much troubled Manhunt 2. In the email the company thanks them for their support and, as you would expect, also offer some thoughts on the Manhunt 2 ban.

We wanted to thank everyone who has taken the time to contact us about Manhunt 2,” said an email sent out by the company. “We are very proud of Manhunt 2 and believe it builds on what the team accomplished with the first title in the series. The game was developed as a horror experience, and to be an M rated title, aligning it with similar horror content created in other forms of media.

Unlike many other people, we do not think videogames should be singled out for special treatment from the authorities. We hope to have more information for you soon, but in the meantime, we wanted you to know how much we value all of your messages of support.” the email concluded.

Meh, the BBFC never sent me a thank you email when I emailed them praising the banning.

They are right. No game should be banned no matter the content. It's down to the shops and bad parenting. The shops can decide which games they stock. Manhunt 2 will be a HUGE seller. When shops were told to stop selling m#the first game, did they, NO! Just because its a big seller and quite frankly an awesome game. If Manhunt is this bad for the BBFC, why don't they ban Hostel and other horror/thriller based genre games/movies. Exactly.
