PS3 Firmware update 2.41 now available
It’s been a turbulent time recently for the Playstation 3’s latest and greatest firmware. First Sony officially announced the features and released firmware 2.4 upon the world. Just as quickly it was pulled, Sony responded and now they have made PS3 firmware 2.41 available.
There’s not much more to say really as 2.41 should correct all of the issues that 2.40 caused. Lets just hope they tested it thoroughly this time, eh?

I’ve got to admit I’m rather cautious about downloading this. Think I’ll await feedback before attempting a download this time around.

One of the biggest problems with the bad press around Sony’s 2.4 firmware is that it destroyed people’s faith in future updates, as well as distracting from the improvements that this update actually provided.
I imagine that from now on Sony will be extra-extra careful with testing any software they release.

I’ll update when I get home, I’d like to see what everyone’s been making a fuss over… trophies et. al. although I don’t own SSHD… I ain’t gonna get it just to get trophies though.. had enough of score whores on XBL!!!

As I said before, no problems with 2.4, and no problems with 2.41 must just have been some unlucky people out there.
I’ve been debating whether to get SSHD, might be even more worth it now to check out the trophies.

Update went nice and smoothly as I’d have expected. Checked out my profile, and then downloaded SSHD. After my eyes started to bleed, I realised the trophies are gonna take some work!
Dunno why I never tried out SSHD before tbh!

Worst thing about these trophies is that there is no web based element like gamercards. Some folks have setup a manual PS3 gamercard system, but sod that! Too much like hard work
