Popcap bringing Bookworm to DS

Via a small snippet at the end of one of their latest articles, Forbes have announced that Popcap Games are planning to bring Bookworm – presumably Bookworm Adventures – to Nintendo DS.

In Bookworm players guide Lex the worm through a number of stages, battling creatures along the way. Each battle consists of Lex squaring off against a given foe. Both Lex and his adversary have health meters which are depleted by each player forming words from a grid of available letters.

No word on what unique features Bookworm DS will bring to the table, but the possiblilty of playing Bookworm while sitting on the loo is very exciting.
