Pokemon Platinum announced

The latest issue of Coro Coro Magazine has revealed that Nintendo are developing a new Pokémon game called Pokémon Platinum, and it is set for release later this year in September in Japan. Don’t get too excited though, as it is not a brand new game in the series, and it is instead an update like Pokemon Yellow and Crystal were.

As a result the game will not have huge changes from Pearl/Diamond, and will instead see just a few alterations in Pokemon placement and Gym leaders. For example, Volkner is no longer gym leader of Sunnyshore City, and Giratina & Regigigas’ will have new forms. The Underground is now Wi-Fi enabled too, which is probably the most exciting update.
