Phil Harrison praises Sony for LBP recall

You might still not be too happy about the recent delay, but it seems Atari boss, Phil Harrison, who let’s not forget was once a SCEE bigwig, has nothing but praise for the way Sony handled the recent mess the game found itself in

“I think Sony took absolutely the right decision – painful though it was,” remarked Harrison to GI.biz when question about how Sony delayed the game after possible offensive references to the Qu’ran were found at the eleventh hour.

[O]n reflection I think it was absolutely the right thing to do, because LittleBigPlanet set out from day one to be a game for the entire world – and if there was anything that accidentally detracted from that vision and made the game not fun for the entire world, then the game would have fundamentally failed in its mission.

He then went on to say he thinks the game will still be a huge success for the company, commenting that “people are going to be blown away by the game,” and the delay will in no way effect the “long term success of the game one iota.
