Peggle coming to XBLA this Wednesday, priced at 800MP

Via his latest podcast, Xbox Live’s Major Nelson has confirmed that Peggle will be making its way to XBLA this Wednesday – March 11th. The game will be priced at 800MP. Crystal Defenders, which is a tower defense style game, will be going up along with it.

Peggle is already available for PC, Mac, click-wheel iPod’s. and Nintendo DS. The most talked about version of the game is undoubtedly the PC version, which has been hugely successful for Popcap since its release in early 2007.

Peggle is best described as completely nuts. It is a game where you drop a ball at various pegs. If you hit enough of the correct pegs, a beaver type thing gets EXTREME FEVER!! and is very happy. There is also unicorns in it – I think. Each level in the games boasts different power-ups to keep things interesting as you advance.

The XBLA version of Peggle will support up to 4-player options, which should keep your multiplayer cravings happy.
