Outlast is the next Playstation Plus freebie on Playstation 4

It was rumored to be coming for quite a while, but now Outlast has been confirmed to be the February offering for Playstation Plus on PS4. Outlast, developed by Red Barrels, was first released for PC back in September last year.

The very official news comes direct from the game’s very official Facebook page that officially says “Outlast will be free in February for all PlayStation Plus users (PS4 only). #OUTLAST #PS4 #PSPLUS.” God damn I hate hashtags.

Red Barrels previously announced they were working on Outlast: Whistleblower – a prequel DLC story to accompany the original game. No word is available to suggest if this will make it over to PS4 at release.

Contrast (Compulsion Games), Resogun (Housemarque), and Don’t Starve (Klei Entertainment) were the three previous games to be part of Sony’s subscription service.
