Nintendo Yet Again Scores Lowest Rating On Greenpeace Test

After reports late last year that Nintendo were in trouble with Greenpeace it seems things have not changed. In fact, according to recent updates they are still one of the least eco-friendly companies out of there, scoring .3 out of 10 in the March version of Greenpeace’s Guide to Greener Electronics. Nintendo scored “Bad” on all categories but one, where they nabbed a “Partially Bad” in chemicals management. However, I dont think they will be celebrating that achievement.

Back in December Nintendo admitted it was “surprised” and commented that they believed they took “great care to comply with all relevant regulations on avoiding the use of dangerous materials, recycling.” They have yet to comment on this edition of the report.

In better news for other companies that have a stake in gaming, Microsoft got a 4.7 for their work, and Sony did even better still, earning a 7.3. This is only a few points behind Samsung and Toshiba who tied for the top spot on the list, each earning a score of 7.7.
