Nintendo Change Their Region Free Tune

Although we reported yesterday that some games on the Wii would be region free this now seems not to be correct. Nintendo UK has admitted that the Wii console is region-locked after all, despite comments from Nintendo of America to the contrary. Speaking to GI.biz in London this afternoon, a spokesperson admitted, “We are region-locked,” and admitted that the US arm of the Big N had made a mistake in saying otherwise.
