New Zealand getting edited GTA IV too

After reports came in last week that the Australia version of GTA IV would have portions of the game censored for its release in the country many thought they could get around the censorship by buying from New Zealand. However, new reports indicate that they will be getting the same “special version” of the game Rockstar submitted for rating in Oz, thus quickly putting an end to that cunning plan.

The likes of CD-WOW and Play-Asia are probably best bet for those looking to import an unaltered version of the game now. However, that means it is unlikely they’ll be getting the game close to it’s worldwide release date as they have to wait for it to be shipped half way round the world.
