New Viva Pinata Announced

In an attempt to catch the Mario Party audience Microsoft has announced they will be bringing a new Viva Piñata game to the Xbox 360. However, the game will be a bit of a change from the last one as MS seem to hint that the game will be striped of the strategy based gameplay of the original to try and find a place in the heart of the a younger audience. Just like the Mario Party games from Nintendo, the new Viva Piñata title will be filled with a selection mini-games, in fact in the press release they boast “40 outrageous multiplayer party games“. The game will go by the name Viva Piñata: Party Animal.

Interestingly, Rare will have nothing got to do with this version of the game and it will instead be developed by the Australia based Krome Studios. The game is scheduled for release in December.
