New Onimusha game coming, yeah! For browsers and phones, boo!

Remember Onimusha? It was all the rage back in the early noughties. Well Capcom is resurrecting the franchise – although only for browsers and smartphones The new game in the series is called Onimusha Soul.

Onimusha Soul is an strategy RPG, which will feature the same characters from PlayStation 2 series – asking players to build up their own kingdom, promote soilders to generals, and battle other players online should they so wish.

The game will be free to play, but feature micro-transactions to speed things up – if you are impaitent.

Onimusha Soul will first launch on PC browsers this coming June 28, with a phone version to follow later on in the year. Capcom have not specified iOS or Android as of yet.
