New DS reports are ‘rumour and speculation’

Over the weekend there has been many reports on a follow up, or possible redesign of the DS making appearance at E3. The news came from Enterbrain boss Hirokazu Hamamura who thought the “possibility” of Nintendo producing a fresh iteration of their handheld was very likely.
However, Nintendo has now seemingly put an end to all of this conjecture by commenting to Eurogamer that all talk of any new DS making an appearance at the E3 show is “purely rumour and speculation“.
So, there you have it, it’s not happening! We are not sure the DS could get any ‘liter’ anyway.

They best not release another – I’ve only just bought one!
With such a solid base established it’s likely their strategy will be to make a killing on software.

I think their strategy is just to make an all round killing on everything remotely related to the DS. Software is selling massively as is hardware, its not time for a new DS yet but I’m certain one will come in the not too distant future.
