Portable Oops[/intro]
Even though us kind and patient European have had to wait well over four months since the US release of MGS: PO to get our hands on it, it now seems a few more weeks will be needed as someone has messed up when printing the game. The reason? Well, all games that get released these days need to the BBFC rating on the game case, the instruction manual and the game itself... the problem with Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops is that no ratings were printed onto the UMD disc itself which breaks regulations and thus results in the game having to be recalled from all retail outlets.
As a result the game will no longer be released this Friday as planed and is now on hold until the problem gets ironed out. To follow up on this many online shops like Play.com and Amazon.co.uk are also now listing that game as 'unavailable' or 'temporally out of stock' as they wait for the reprinted game.
