Metroid Prime Trilogy coming to Wii, three games on one disc

Nintendo have revealed they will release Metroid Prime Trilogy for the Wii on August 24th in the US.

The pack will contain the same Metroid Prime 3 Corruption that was released over two years ago, along with the two GameCube Metroid games – Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2 Echoes. Both of these game will be reworked with full widescreen, 480p support and the Wii Remote/Nunchuk controls from Metroid Prime 3 Corruption.

Metroid Prime Trilogy puts the best first-person adventures all in one place, with a host of new additions that make these three timeless titles more engaging than ever,” said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “A great deal of care and detail has gone into Metroid Prime Trilogy, providing longtime fans with new ways to experience the games they love.

The three games will also boast a new unlockables system, that will let player gain access  in-game rewards such as music and artwork as they play.
