Marvel vs Capcom 2 getting US PSN demo this week, and more details

After releasing the first trailer for the game, Capcom have gone on to release more info for Marvel vs Capcom 2. The biggest snippet of info is the game will be getting demoed on the US arm of PSN this week, presumedly long before the game’s full release.
The info comes from Christian ‘Sven’ Svensson, Corporate Officer and Vice-president of Strategic Planning & Business Development at Capcom, over on the company’s official blog.
“[A]s an added bonus, some of you will get to play it sooner than you think. The US PlayStation network will have the demo available for download this week,” he comments.
Sven also reports that the game will be based on the Dreamcast code, and there will be online options available. HD upscaling options will be on show, with “Crisp,” “Smooth,” and “Classic” settings. Widescreen will be available too, due to expanding the background images, although the area the characters move in will be restricted to 4:3 – it is a port after all, and Capcom cannot work miracles.
Furthermore, there will be no unlocking needed, so all 56 characters will be available at the start for immediate play.
Update: Six characters will be available in the demo – Ryu, Chun-Li, Strider, Spider-Man, Iron Man and Wolverine – along with seven selectable environments. Two player local play is there too, but no online.
