LittleBigPlanet OpenBetaScrapped

Sam Bennett (Community Development Manager) and Pete Smith (Producer) at Media Molecule have revealed that the once rumoured idea to have a open beta for LittleBigPlanet has been scraped.

The comment that the game will still go through a beta phase, like all games do, however it will all be done behind closed doors with an internal group at Sony and some selected members of the press being the only individuals involved.

When speaking to PS3fanboy they proclaimed that releasing the game in its entirety to the public, free of charge as a beta would be suicide.

That would be terrible in our opinion, we don’t want to see poor little Sackboy get hurt!
