Lionhead confim Fable DLC coming, it’s a new island

Remember a while back when we told you that new levels and locations would come to Fable II? No? Well, screw you we were right, as Fable and Microsoft have just announced that starting mid-December 2008, fans will be summoned back into Albion due to the release of the Knothole Island downloadable content pack.

Knothole is dying apparently, because its golden sands and lush vegetation are covered with snow -we did not know islands could die so this is extra sad. The people on the island are freezing, and treasures are buried everywhere. Only a hero (that’s be you!) can face the trials, take on the new quests, find new wondrous items and meet the bizarre new characters to help bring back the sunshine.

The content will be available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace for 800 Microsoft Points, although there is still no date set in stone. Once downloaded the island will appear in your main game, and you can set sail to it at any time. The island will also be available to be played in co-op, but both players must own the download.
