I agree. Its the parents and older siblings who are at fault. Shops won’t do it because there are huge fines for doing so where I live (something like $10000).

As far as I can see, there is no real way to stop family buying these games for minors, well not completely anyway. But a good solid ad campaign wouldn’t hurt.

Er, I’m pretty sure most shops are pretty strict about adherence to age ratings, especially the big chains like the ones Jack mentioned. It’s bad parents buying the game for their kids that are the problem.

If a madman fires a scatter gun then he’s bound to hit something. Hes right about the fact that stores should not sell these games to minors, but he is wrong about absolutely everything else, including his motivation of making such claims in the first place.

I whole-heartedly agree! With the retailers facing prosecution that is! They’re the ones selling ADULT games to CHILDREN/MINORS!!!!

Maybe Mr Thompson ought to use his tireless energy for good for a change…. instead of the crazed ramblings in a search for sensationlist headlines, maybe he could help tackle the real problem…. that of complete ignorance and idiocy on the parents and retailers parts?
