Ikaruga coming to XBLA April 9th

In news that has made our frothing demand for this game increase to a much higher amount than ever before Xbox Japan has let slip that the long awaited Ikaruga will be hitting Xbox Live Arcade on Wednesday April 9th. As of yet it has not been confimred if the game will hit US and Europe on the same day, but it is very likely to happen.

Developed by Treasure, the game first appeared in the Arcades back in 2001 before been subsequently ported to Dreamcast in Japan and then worldwide to the GameCube.  However, due to an early reveal of the game, and the long time it took for the game to be made official the wait for its appearance on XBLA seemed much longer that the wait for all of those put together.
