How to use the Halo 5 Collector’s Edition Disk Exchange Program
The fact that the collector’s edition of Halo 5: Guardians costs an arm and a leg but doesn’t come with a physical copy of the game caused quite a stir. If you’re one of the Halo loyalists that pre-ordered the collector’s edition but you’re not contempt with the digital copy of the game Microsoft will happily exchange your download code for a disk, providing the code is unused. The offer is only valid between the 20th of October and the 1st of November so don’t waste any time is you want the disc.
How do you know is you eligible for the exchange? There are three terms: Firstly you must have received your collector’s edition. Secondly you must not have redeemed the code for the digital version of Halo 5. Lastly you must belong to one of the following markets: North America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, or Mexico.
If you are eligible open up this “contact us page,” then select “chat with Microsoft support.” Once you’re through to an agent let them know you want to exchange your code for a disc then provide them with the following information: your Xbox gamertag, email address, the code on your voucher for Halo 5, and your delivery address.
It’s a straight forward affair and you should receive your disk, along with some DLC codes, within 3-5 working days. However there are advantages to holding onto your code and getting the digital version, you should receive your collector’s edition a week prior to the games launch which will allow you to pre-download the digital version of the game so you’re ready to go the minute the 27th of October arrives. The choice is yours.
