Heavy Rain can “only be done on Playstation 3” says director

David Cage, the director of Heavy Rain, the upcoming PS3-exclusive that has got a lot of people talking, has said his game is something that could only be done on a PS3. He reveals that doing the same game on 360 would be “too difficult”

“I think this game can only be done on Playstation 3,” he remarks, which is a quote that is sure to please and annoy each consoles fans in equal measure “We used all the SPUs.”

“I think to do the visuals, and all the stuff we’re doing would be too difficult [on the 360]. There are amazing physics there, and stuff with crowds that you just couldn’t really get.”

Heavy Rain is expected to be one of Sony’s big hitters during the course of E3 this year, so prepare to hear a hell of a lot more about it in coming months
