Guitar Hero II DLC Arrives With Extortionate Prices

[intro]Expansions have always costed tons. See: £20 for your average expansion pack for generally about 50% extra content. Or look at The Sims where it added 10% extra content for 66% of the price. It’s the way the industry has worked for years and I can’t see it changing anytime soon.

Update: Also, I just spotted this… I’d *assume* that the expansion cost is based around the US MS points economy – which is $6.25 for 500 points, around £1.10 cheaper than over here, converts to a reasonable £3.13. It’s £4.25 for us, meaning that the Americans are getting an entirely reasonable deal (considering the iTunes example stated above – that’s 16p more than just buying them from there), but we’re getting shafted due to MS not knowing what www.xe.com is.
